Replace the ugly text - Vodafone AU, Telstra, Optus or Virgin with custom logos. Yes you can use WinterBoard to do this, however majority of carrier logos are designed for US networks and don’t work in Australia. There is an easy solution to this and it works on jailbroken and non-jailbroken iPhones!
For your jailbroken device go to Cydia and add source “http://kin3tik.com/repo” then just browse this source and install the logo you wish.

For non-jailbroken devices it is more complicated than that. But there is a great step by step manual for getting your logo into iPhone via iTunes. All you need is to change settings of your iTunes vie Terminal and then download and install the logo via “restore” button.
